    Yes, both are very real. I know quite a number of painted and wounded birds, this post is devoted to them. I'd like to show their trajectory, their flight path. The movement of the cube and the transparency of the images are consistent with this intention.

    [SMILE] This is the type of doubts that relate to interpretation and I sometimes have when translating from one language to another. "Porque te vas" (Because you leave) aims to justify why things are as they are, and were as they were, and will be as they will be. In a sense, somebody is leaving the child, but the person in question isn't gone yet. Were the latter the case, a "Because you are gone" will be perfect. But things are not so simple, for the child in the film is obsessed with the fact of being abandoned. So, in that child's mind, people are not gone yet and loss is a present fact, something taking place all the time. That's why the child's heart becomes sad, and every night the child awoke thinking of that person, and close to the [railway] station the child will cry. "Because you leave [ME]," the child explains. This unfortunate event isn't something that has happened, but something that is happening right now. In English, a "Because you are leaving [me]" would be more appropriate to express this. But, unfortunately, such words don't fit the poetic ingredient of Perales' recurrent "Porque te vas."
    Blogsterella: thanks for your observations and concern. I'm glad to learn about your thoughts and that you like my picture too. The image shows a modernistic (fashionable), gagged figure from Brussels, an architectural ornament (pertaining to the Art Nouveau style of c.1900), which, in my "Porque Te Vas," alludes mostly-but-not-only to "all the things that were left to be said" and "will fall asleep."

    I have no doubt about the correlation between the Spanish of the lyrics and my translation in English. I'd like to know whether the expressions I use in my English version belong to the ones you use in every-day English. Thanks.

    Cher Mariano, Nous avons admiré tes dons artistiques sans pourtant comprendre certains dessins ou collages très abstraits. Le texte en anglais ne pouvait guère nous aider.
